Angus McBean was born in Monmouthshire, United Kingdom on June 8, 1904.  Mcbean was associated with being a set designer and a cult figure associated with surrealism. When Mcbean was 15, he took part in the amateur dramatics productions. He was involved by creating sets and costumes only later to be able to wear and perform on stage. During World War 2, he was producing posters and arts over surrealism. He was accompanied by vivian leigh with his work. although , his work went downhill due to being charged with acts of homosexuality which gave him 4 years in jail. After he was released, he started his career and was a portrait creator whose work was widely criticized before and during the war but soon to gain popularity after the war.

What I like about this photo is that its unique and its toned as black and white.
After his release, Mcbean was committed into the stratford memorial theatre where he photographed for Anthony and Cleopatra. He would later shoot for the Stratford theatre and the Royal Opera House. After his long career, he still continued to do his job but on the side he would work on selective projects such as the L’Official and French Vogue. Soon after, he later passed away on June 9, 1990.

This is one of Mcbeans christmas cards he would create during the holidays. I like this card because it is unique.
