I had worked
as an engineer in this project.

 

Background.

This Project
was carried out during my 6 Month training period for B.Tech Training centre  This project was taken by the Five members and
our Instructor. We had done chosen this project to automate the functioning of
gates at a railway crossing and to propose the technology to government in
order to reduce the number of accidents happens at railway crossing and save
human lives. Normal times, A gate keeper receives the information about the
arrival of train to a near railway station. Then, Proceeds further for its job.
In order to reduce the human effort at railways and leveling it with other
areas  of automation in our country.
Automations of the gate operations can be achieved using sensors.   When the arrival of the train is sensed,
signals are provided to the traffic indicating the arrivalof the train on the
track. When the second sensors detect the train then the signal turns red and
the motor operates to close the gate. The gate will remain closed until the
train completely moves away from the level cross. When the departure of the
train is detected by the third sensors, the traffic signal turns green and the
motor operates to open the gate.
